UCLA/UC user rates

For University of California users we use an internal rate of $50.70 per hour for quantitative analysis; however, we do not charge for more than 12 hours a day. Carbon coating of samples and operational teaching and assistance during standard working hours are included in the rate. In addition, calibration/standardization is performed prior to your visit and is also included in the rate.

Elemental X-ray map jobs are charged considering half of the time.

Non-profit and non-UC user rates

For non-profit and non-UC users the rate is $89.59 per hour for quantitative analysis.  As with internal users, we do not charge for more than 12 hours a day. Carbon coating of samples and operational teaching and assistance during standard working hours are included in the rate. In addition, calibration/standardization is performed prior to your visit and is also included in the rate. However, analyst time for calibration/standardization may be charged if the work requires a non-routine analytical analysis, as agreed upon prior to your visit.
